Project description:
This project is a mobility of youth workers, organized by TOUTA and Youth Association DRONI, which will take place in the mountainous region of Bakuriani, Georgia, between September 24th and October 1st. It aims to equip youth workers with new tools and innovative techniques in order to raise awareness among young people on the topics of waste and protection of the environment, with a special focus on art and outdoor education.

Participant profile:
This project is for youth workers, youth leaders and people working with youth. Participants with fewer opportunities are encouraged to join. 18+

TRAVEL, ACCOMODATION, REIMBURSEMENT HEALTH INSUANCE :
Regular tickets : Please keep all original invoices, proof of payment and the boarding pass. Prices on the receipt/invoice must coincide with the price on the ticket.
E-tickets : We recommend to buy online tickets, that you can send to us via email (with the name, price and flight details on the same page). Please add a proof of payment (credit card receipt or bank statement). At arrival, you need to provide your boarding pass.
Participants need to buy their tickets to travel to Georgia once approved by the organizers. Transport from the airport to the accommodation will be organized.
Accommodation: We will be staying in Loft Hotel in Bakuriani. 2-4 Participants per Room (same gender, mixed nationalities). Private bathroom in each room.
Medical insurance: You are responsible for your own health insurance and medication, as well as for a travel insurance.
Travel tips: Before you decide to apply for the project, please take into consideration that travelling to Georgia sometimes might be challenging in terms of travel time, costs etc. The maximum travel reimbursement for participant from Bulgaria is set as 245 euro.
Taking a flight from Sofia to Tbilisi ( trough Munich/Frankfurt, Warsaw, Istanbul, Athens) might be around 300-350 euro but more comfortable in terms of traveling hours.
Taking the route to Istanbul from any point in Bulgaria by bus/train and from Istanbul by flight will be a way to get cheaper to Tbilisi.
Please use also Kutaisi airport if needed, there is good connections from Thessaloniki there
IMPORTANT!!!
Please note that there may be protests in major cities at this period due to upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia. We strongly recommend to follow your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ advice when planning your itinerary and to avoid any gathering and protest.
To point out: We cannot exclude the possibility that there may be protests and rallies in major cities due to upcoming elections in Georgia. Therefore we strongly recommend :
-buying a travel cancelation insurance
-avoiding major cities and busy streets
-coming directly from the airport to the accommodation.
Direct transportation from and to Tbilisi airport and/or Kutaisi airport will be organized by the organizers.
