The Greek team carried out a public dissemination action in the city centre of Thessaloniki, aiming to raise awareness about youth mental health and promote the Erasmus+ programme among the wider public. The activity took place in a busy urban area, allowing the team to reach a diverse audience of young people and passers-by.
As part of the action, participants prepared and displayed papers and posters with different slogans related to mental health, emotional well-being, and breaking stigma. These visual messages were used as conversation starters, encouraging people to stop, read, and engage in discussions about mental health and the importance of open dialogue.
Alongside the public action, the group actively provided information about the Erasmus+ programme, explaining the opportunities it offers for young people, such as youth exchanges, volunteering, and international learning experiences. They also shared insights from the Mission Youth Mental Health youth exchange, highlighting how participation in Erasmus+ can support personal development, intercultural understanding, and mental well-being.
This public initiative successfully combined awareness-raising, non-formal education, and outreach, while increasing the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme and promoting positive attitudes toward mental health in a real-life, accessible public setting.
