By implementing this project our team strives to achieve results in terms of raising awareness on quite important topic for Europe such as refugee situation and lack of social integration but most of all encourage young people themselves to think of creative and innovative solutions trough social entrepreneurship as a tool. The concrete objectives of the project were:
-to inform young people on refugee situation in Europe and the challenges of lack of social integration
-raising awareness among youth about social entrepreneurship as a tool and empowering them to become change makers trough it
-encouraging tolerance, solidarity and understanding of refugees and migrants across Europe
-empowering youth and encouraging their civic involvement and participation in Europe`s society trough social entrepreneur ship
We believe that trough the project young people got the chance to discuss essetial topics that are relevant but not tackled by formal education usually. Furthermore, that was a life changing experience for them to feel part of creating solutions-thus the most valuable outcome of the project we believe will be acquiring certain attitudes. Certainly, realizing their own power in civil society, the need of sense of initiative and social responsibility are one of the most needed and important results we expect to have on the participants. Haing them realize their role in solution creating process in civil society is a milestone and will with no doubt create a positive change afterwards as well. Those young people who realize their own role in civil society become true change makers-thus we believe with this project we will empower the participants to learn but also involve and inform other youth after the project and create the chain of change. Thus we believe that by providing them with learning platform, discussing important social issues in a safe environment and trough power of nonformal education we can achieve raising awareness, eye-opening, horizon broadening, learning, getting new skills but most of all epowering them and providing them with a tool such as social entrepreneurship as an answer to important social issues. Social entrepreneurship being introduced t the youth could possibly be used by them for finding solutions for important social issues in their own communities later on.
