The Italian Team has just arrived back home after one of the most life changing, amazing, unbelievable weeks in our lives-we went as strangers to Bulgaria in order to find a lifelong family!YOUth vs radicalization was a youth exchange-financed by Erasmus+ program of the European Commission and hey if you think this is just for university students you are NOT right! Probably most of us when we hear Erasmus we think of the opportunity to study abroad 1 or 2 semesters when you are in university. Well, this is also part of Erasmus+ but it is much much more-it offers countless opportunities for all EU youth to travel, learn, grow, take part in various educational programs and opportunities such as seminars, youth exchanges, training courses, internships, support for MA and PHd and much more! We-a group of crazy Italians went to Bulgaria on a youth exchange where we met a bunch of other amazing young people from Bulgaria, SPAIN and the UK. The project gave each one of us something really important-something more than we actually expected! After the project we evenorganzied some workshops with our friends, colleagues, classmates. Together with our sending organization Active Youth for Europe we organized workshop for volunteers from The Lion club and Forum Di Giovanni Castellamare -we presented our project, shared our experience and had a debate on risks of radicalization and how to spot signs of radicalization in young people, what steps can be taken, what we as young people can actually do.
