As part of the dissemination process following our participation in the Erasmus+ international course “NextGen Media Watch”, held in Bansko, Bulgaria, under the auspices of Provision International Association, the Romanian team organized a seminar at the school level, bringing together students, teachers, and representatives of the Parents’ Council. The event, held on the 20th of November 2024, provided an excellent platform to share our experience and the knowledge gained during the Erasmus+ training.
The seminar was attended by:
🔹 Mrs. Baston Mioara Gabriela, School Principal
🔹 Prof. Radef Ana-Mihaela
🔹 Prof. Roșu Maria Mirela
🔹 Prof. Crihană Gina
During the event, we shared a detailed presentation of the daily activities conducted during the training course. This allowed participants to gain a clear understanding of the course structure, the methodologies explored, and the valuable lessons learned. The presentation highlighted the interactive sessions, group activities, and practical exercises that enriched our professional development.
Additionally, we delivered an engaging session on key topics such as fake news, trolls, bias, deep fakes, fact-checking, and the importance of critical thinking in the digital age. These presentations emphasized the dangers and responsibilities associated with digital media use and how these tools can positively influence education when understood and applied effectively.
The interactive session offered valuable information on recognizing misinformation and the role of fact-checking in making informed decisions. It also encouraged discussions on how to integrate these essential skills into daily learning activities to prepare students for the challenges of the modern digital world.
Through this seminar, we aimed to foster a collaborative environment where parents, teachers, and students can collectively work towards promoting media literacy and critical thinking, ensuring a more informed and responsible approach to navigating the digital era.
The feedback from participants highlighted the relevance of this topic, and the seminar was regarded as a significant step toward enhancing our school’s focus on modern educational practices.
Furthermore, a comprehensive report detailing our participation in the Erasmus+ course and the subsequent dissemination activities was submitted to the County School Inspectorate.
