YE “Volunteering- a path to employability”

The youth exchange project Volunteering-a path to employability was implemented between 12th and 20th of July 2021 in bansko, Bulgaria, The project was financed by Erasmus+ program of the European Commission trough UK National Agency. The project was coordinated by Active Youth-youth group from the UK and hosted by Pro vision International in Bansko, Bulgaria.

The project gathered young people from Bulgaria, UK, Italy and Spain. The focus of the project was boosting youth employability trough volunteering. Day by day young people were focusing on different aspects and learnt about youth unemployment in their countries and in Europe, about different volunteering programs and opportunities, learnt what softs skills are and how they relate to employability, discovered different opportunitites that EU gives to youth-such as Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, Erasmus for young entrepreneurs, etc.  As a result of the project the participants became more aware of youth unemployment, employability, ways to gain skills, the importance of soft skills for employability, developed various skills such as team building, language competences, public speaking and leadership skills. Most of all, the participants really got inspired to volunteer and some them became volunteers after the project.
