Title: ISLAMOPHOBIA: WE REACT!

Project description:
This project is a Youth Exchange program that will last 7 days plus 1 travel day. Dates of the project are 4-11 October 2023 and the venue is Castellammare di Stabia – Italy. There will be 7 participating countries: Turkey, Macedonia, Poland, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and Greece. There will be multiple ice breaking games and workshops to create cohesion and teamwork between the groups such as treasure hunt, team buildings and energizer. There will be case study and role playing workshops will be held to get into the topic such as the theatre session which will enable them to role-play as distinct individuals who experience different lifestyles. Case studies will be related with the subject and they will be able to brains-storm as divided into mixed groups altogether. As a complementary to the whole process, dissemination and follow-up sessions are added to the schedule of the program.
Our Goals:
-To inform the participants how to fight discrimination and to involve other people
-Understand what is a religion, what is Islam, what is Islamophobia, and what are the attitudes and perceptions of non- Muslim countries
-To present graffiti as a effective and peaceful way to combat discrimination
TARGET GROUP:
‣ From 16 to 24 years old;
‣ group leader no age limit;
‣ young people from rural areas;
‣ young people who have never participated in Erasmus+ mobility;
‣ young people motivated to acquire new knowledge and skills.
PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES: Spain, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy and Poland
PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Accommodation: Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms with participants from different countries but the same gender. Wi-fi internet connection will be available at hotel areas. Accommodation and food for the participants for the whole duration of the project will be provided by the hosting organization. Food: Food will be served at the restaurant of the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will serve 2 coffee breaks (1 during the morning session and 1 during the afternoon session). Please, if you didn’t write your special needs concerning food (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, no pork or any allergies) send us an email to advise us. N.B. For lunch and dinner restaurants will have as first dish pasta (as Italian custom) and a second dish could be meat, fish, salad, etc.
CONTRIBUTION FEE:
During the project, therefore only if selected and effective participants in the project, a financial contribution of 30 euros will be requested to be paid on the spot. This amount will be used in the form of co-financing to enable us to support project and management expenses, as well as support individual costs.
